FINALLY!
Fritz Hollings
, quite possibly the Senate's most consistently anti-libertarian member and definitely its most embarrassing, has announced his retirement. I guess he was just waiting for Strom to finally let him be senior senator for a while.
The seat should be a safe gain for Republicans.
