The first class on each topic will be focused on an exploration of issues. The second class will focus on sharing of new learnings and practical strategies.

4 written reports are due-one every other week. Each report will include 5 pages of new learning summaries. All quotes, graphics and outlines can be attached separately. Reports can be emailed or delivered hard copy by the end of classes in which they are due. Reports can be re-initiated for a better grade up to one week following their due dates.

New learnings will reflect research done to answer questions related to actual or created scenarios on the topics assigned.

Each paper will be organized by topic-related questions and will be graded on:

The quantity and quality of new learning
The use of everyday language
The diversity of expert resources used-web, library, work and professional related

Each class prior to reports due will focus dialogue on the dynamics of the topics. Report weeks will involve discussions of scenarios, questions, and new learnings.

Final grades will reflect the sum of all 4 reports (graded A, B, C, and unacceptable) and a self-assessment (on the same scale) at the end of the class. Attendance and class participation will figure when final grades are borderline between options.
